ORIGINAL CROQUET MALLET
The ‘Original’ is perfect for golf croquet, Association Croquet, and 6 Wicket as well. Designed by former world golf croquet champion, Joe Hogan, it has been the biggest seller at the U K Croquet Association for over 30 years.
The ‘Original’ mallets have octagonal wooden handles made of clear English White Ash with a turned lower section We can make the length of the shaft from 32 to 40”. The most commonly ordered height is 36”.
The heads are made from blocks of Sheesham wood hand selected by our buyer for its beautiful grain and rich brown color. The head can be made in any length, but the standard lengths are 9 1/4”, 10”, and 11” with 10” being desired most often. The mallet head measures 2 9/16” (65mm) wide by 2 3/8” (60mm) high. The overall weight of the head is made to your desired specifications and is available from 2lbs 13oz. to 3lbs 2oz. in 1 oz increments.

After the appropriate mallet handle has been selected, it is inserted into a selected head. Cylindrical weights are inserted into pre-drilled holes on the underside of the head to achieve the exact weight desired. They are then plugged and glued with hardwood dowels.
